Terms of Use
Welcome to ShotVault. By creating an account or using the ShotVault mobile app ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By installing, accessing, or using ShotVault you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) and that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
ShotVault is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to organize, read, and search screenshots you import from your device's photo library. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use ShotVault for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Upload content you do not have the right to upload.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or harmful code.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the screenshots and content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant ShotVault a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g., AI categorization, OCR, search).
We do not use Your Content to train AI models. We do not sell or share Your Content for advertising.
6. Subscriptions and billing
- ShotVault offers a free tier with limits and paid subscription plans (Basic and Premium).
- Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Their terms apply to billing, refunds, and renewals.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel them in your store account before the renewal date.
- Free trials, when offered, convert to paid subscriptions automatically unless cancelled.
- Refunds are handled by the respective app store under their refund policies.
7. AI and accuracy
ShotVault uses third-party AI models (Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT) to categorize screenshots and extract text. AI output may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You should not rely on ShotVault for decisions that require independent verification (e.g., legal, medical, financial). We disclaim liability for AI errors.
8. Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in the ShotVault app, brand, design, and underlying technology remain with the ShotVault team. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary code beyond using the Service as intended.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if required by law. On termination, your screenshots and account data are deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., purchase records).
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShotVault and its team shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to ShotVault in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
